Gateway Crate and Freight is Arizona's premier packing and shipping company. Located just a few miles from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport off the I-10 and 202 freeways. Our Chandler Warehouse services the crating, palletizing, packing and shipping needs for commercial and residential customers located throughout the Phoenix Metro area and the Phoenix-Tucson Corridor.

A full service custom crating and packing company. We specialize in "doing the work". While most 3PLs operate on coordinating freight movements or arranging packing and crating. We do the pickup, crating, packing, shipping and delivery of items everyday. 

Our decades of experience in crating and packing items for multi mode transport, along with our international certifications (IPPC Certified Wood Packing Materials Facility US-20468) our multi million dollar insurance and surety coverage as well as being a fully licensed FMCSA property broker (MC-917143 DOT 2638954)  has made us the one stop shop for crating, packing and shipping for many here in the valley of the sun. 

We provide pickup and delivery services to all parts of the valley with equipment ranging from cargo vans to 26' trucks with lift gate equipment. Gateway Optimum Transportation is a licensed Motor Carrier (DOT 2939118) utilizing our equipment for short and long haul Transportation.

We have crated, packed and transported items for well known Arizona companies and institutions such as Arizona State University, Salt River Project (SRP), Alcoa, Fender Musical Group, Main View Art Gallery (Scottsdale), Simon Medical, AMC Theaters, KSLX Radio, Phoenix Newspapers Inc and Xerox.    
Motorcycle Crate
We get many calls from people to crate and ship bikes around the country. Crating is an expensive way to do this with so many motorcycle haulers available for cheap but when a motorcycle needs to ship on the ocean or is going overseas via air, crating for shipment is the best option.

This Motorcycle shipped to the Caribbean. We have crated and shipped Motorcycles now to Hawaii, Guam, Alaska, Puerto Rico and now the Caribbean islands.

We take great care in blocking and bracing the bikes in the crates to ensure they don't get damaged during transport.  Carriers require a "purge certificate" stating that the engine has been drained of all fluids such as oil and gas.

Crate Big Grizzly. Oh My!
Bear Crate
The Bass Pro Shop in Tempe, Arizona had a need to have a bear professionally crated and packed for shipping. Of course not a real bear, although at 8 feet tall and over 800 lbs this Bronze Sculpture was a beast.

We built a solid base, blocked and braced that statue in its weighted center (the bear leans forward a bit) and attached proper foam protection on the braces to ensure this bear was well protected in the crate while traveling across country.

Cargo Van Pickup and Delivery Services Metro Phoenix 
We utilize cargo vans for local pickup and delivery for smaller items like, artwork (paintings and sculptures) auto parts, household goods such as clothing and personal effects, Computers and electronics and smaller machinery.

The cargo van helps us keep pickups and deliveries economical due to the better gas mileage we get from the van then from our bigger trucks.

Local Pickup and Delivery of items packed, palletized or crated here in Arizona is easy. We utilize the right equipment for the job. 

For years we have specialized in oversized, heavy and fragile items that need extra care and attention. We use 16' and 26' trucks with lift gate equipment to pickup and deliver most of our clients materials. 

We haul both 53' Vans and Flatbed trailers and have access to specialty trailers as needed. Currently we do not haul refrigerated equipment or Dangerous Goods.
