Gateway Crate and Freight Coronavirus Responsibility Statement

With the recent “Pandemic” news regarding the Caronavirus (COVID-19)
Gateway O.T is committed to the health and well being of our customers, vendors
and employees. Following guidance from both the National and State levels of
Government, Gateway has had to make changes to our day to day Operations.
As a supplier of Logistics, Transportation and Warehousing services
Gateway locations have been deemed a “necessary business” in some States. All
Gateway Crate and Freight and Gateway O.T locations are open for business with
our full suite of logistics services available to our clients.
Our Standard Operating Procedures however have been modified
to ensure the safety of clients and employees.
Until Further notice ALL Gateway O.T Offices/Warehouses
front and back doors will be locked and not open to the public. Customers Picking
up or Dropping off Materials must call and make an appointment. Clients must
understand that they will not be allowed into the warehouse or office areas.
Items will be unloaded or loaded by Gateway Personnel and Order of Service POD
or DOs will be electronically sent.
IC Truck drivers will also not be allowed into any facility:
Warehouse, Office or Restroom. I want to apologize in advance, our drivers always
know we have always appreciated them with use of our clean restrooms and free
bottled water and snacks from our refrigerators’. Unfortunately during these
times we have instituted these rules for the safety of our employees and for
the truck drivers safety as well. Shipment paperwork (BOL, DRs) will be sent
electronically.
Office employees who can work from home have been instructed
to do so. Warehouse workers will come to work only if healthy, if employees
have any indication that they may be getting sick are to remain home and call
into their supervisor.
All employees have been instructed to maintain “social
distancing” while at work and to Sanitize and clean all work areas throughout
the day. Use of PPE (Gloves, Masks) while at work is encouraged where these items
are available.
Gateway O.T will continue to monitor communication from the
CDC and National and Local Government Health and Human Services departments to
keep each location up to date with the information they need to continue to
service our clients and keep everyone safe during these trying times.

New SEATAC WA facility
Chandler AZ - Dec 28, 2018
Chandler Arizona based Gateway Crate and Freight LLC announced it has opened its newest IPPC Certified facility in Tukwila, WA. The new full service Crating and Packing facility is located just a few miles from SEATAC airport and is located in the middle of the rapidly growing Seattle Tacoma market.
"Expansion into the SEATAC market with a crating and packing facility was necessary to better service our clients in the Pacific Northwest" Owner Steven Tittle sites that "Our Gateway Optimum Transportation clients in Washington State have been asking for more local support for certified export crating, professional packing as well as reliable local P&D services, we took this opportunity to fulfill those needs in this market"
The new crating facility will service customers that export and import through the Ports of Seattle and Tacoma. Gateway Crate and Freight SEATAC is an IPPC program site License US-20110 and the new facility has full wood shop capabilities for all crating and packaging needs.

Gateway Crate and Freight Expands to Chandler AZ

Our clients were looking for expanded warehouse services and cross dock capabilities so Gateway has moved into the Fairview warehouse complex located at 600 S 56th St Suite 17 in Chandler AZ.
The new facility adds much needed office space for the Gateway OT administration staff as well as adding 5500 square feet of Crate and Freight warehouse space which includes both dock and grade level loading and unloading.
Located next to the interchange of I-10 and the loop 202 the new facility adds easy access to the Phoenix metro market and the ever growing Phoenix Tucson corridor.

Gateway Crate and Freight adds New 26 Foot Lift Gate truck to P&D Fleet
Tempe, AZ - May 29, 2018
To further growth in the Freight pickup and delivery market here in Phoenix, Gateway Crate and Freight has added a new 26' Lift Gate truck to its fleet. Pickup and Delivery services have become so time sensitive that an added option helps Gateway meet the timely requests of both commercial and residential shipping customers.
The 2500 lb capacity Lift Gate will be an asset for those customers who need heavier palletized freight picked up and or delivered to locations without forklift capability.
"Although these types of pickups and deliveries are a small part of our business, it is a growing part of it and differentiates us from our competitors who hire out these services to P&D trucking companies" Steven Tittle owner of Gateway O.T added "certainly having another truck and driver in this tight capacity market will help us meet our customers expectations for timely pickup and deliveries"

Gateway Crate and Freight purchases new Cargo Van for growing local pickup and delivery service.
Tempe, AZ - June 30, 2016
To help support the growing need for efficient and economical pickup and delivery options for customers, Gateway Crate and Freight has purchased a 2016 Ram Promaster Cargo Van. Although Gateway provides pickup and delivery services utilizing 16 ft and 24 ft liftgate trucks, a cargo van option allows for smaller items to be delivered or picked up in a more fuel efficient manner.
"The purchase of the Promaster Cargo Van will help us provide our clients with another pickup and delivery option for their smaller items" Steven Tittle owner and partner at Gateway Crate and Freight continued "picking up 5 12" cube boxes in a 16' truck only makes sense when the pickup is on route, but when our customers need immediate service the cargo van will provide us with the means to service that customer in a more timely, economical and fuel efficient manner"
The cargo area accommodates an amazing 120" X 72" X 68" in area, allowing for even some larger items to be accommodated by the van. "We will still mainly utilize the trucks due to the fact that the majority of our clients items are heavy and needing a lift gate service, but the cargo van certainly allows us a better option when loading lighter items for delivery or pickup" Mr Tittle states.

Gateway Crate and Freight Expands Warehousing space
Tempe, Arizona (March 2, 2015)
Gateway Crate and Freight has expanded its office and warehousing space, nearly doubling in size at it's current Tempe location. The move provides extra needed space to accommodate future growth in warehousing and fulfillment.
"The suite next to us became available so we took it" says Roy Meyer owner/partner in the now 3 year old company.
The growth will allow the company to better serve its fulfillment customers who rely on Gateway to pack and ship their odd sized items. "We have stored and shipped ATM machines, auto body parts, retail store furniture such as stools and tables, as well as high end audio electronics, all of which take up space in the warehouse before shipping"
Mr. Meyer also points out that the extra space will provide a better workflow environment enabling the wood crate assembly workshop to be segregated from fulfillment items not being crated.

November 11, 2014 Veterans Day: All gave some...some gave all! Thank you
As a veteran owned business, Gateway Crate and Freight would like to thank all of the men and women of the United States armed forces for your service to our country, and remember those who did not survive defending us.
We want to thank the U.S Military and I specifically want to thank the U.S Air Force, and the people who served along side of me. I credit you with directly shaping me into the person I am today.
I am the owner of Gateway Crate and Freight, and began learning the skills I use everyday in logistics as a young airman in the U.S Air Force, loading C-130 and 141 cargo aircraft.
Veterans day is a day to say thank you to those who serve today and pay tribute to those who served us. I am very proud to be able to pay tribute and remember my immediate family members who served our country.
On this day I pay tribute in my memory to my grandfather Robert E Thompson who was a reconnaissance Photographer in WWII in the pacific and has the distinction of being one of only 2 men in that position that survived from the beginning of the war to the end, and to my father Cecil Wayne Tittle who served as a front line marine in Vietnam.
Thank you for loving me and defending our country. To all other service men and women this day is a day dedicated to you! We are proud of you and many many Thanks!

June 1, 2014 - Gateway Crate and Freight announces summer hours
The summer in the Arizona dessert can get pretty hot, especially when packing, crating and moving items. Gateway Crate and Freight will change its hours of operation starting June 1, 2014. Our normal operating hours of Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm will now be 7am to 3pm through the end of September.
Please be sure to contact Gateway Crate and Freight by telephone or email before showing up at the pack, crate and shipping facility in Tempe. Many times we are working off site doing pickups, deliveries and crating and there is no one at the location during these business hours, depending on the work load.

November 2013 - Gateway Crate and Freight Holiday Packing and Shipping Service Announced
Gateway Crate and Freight will offer professional packing and shipping services for holiday packages of any size starting November 1 through Christmas. The "by appointment" concept will help people save time this holiday. Although our new Tempe pack and ship location is not the traditional "Retail" pack and ship store, we can offer better service by allowing by appointment pack and ship times for our residential and commercial customers.
We have discounted contracts with all of the parcel carriers and we pass on our savings to many of our customers. We concentrate more on the packaging of the items to ensure they don't get damaged during transit no matter what system the items are shipped in. Whether its UPS, FedEx or the U.S.P.S a package professionally packaged by us stands a better chance of making it through without damage.
Gateway Crate and Freight also has other delivery methods that could save our customers money. We have many options when moving freight around the world and can find the right fit for each shipment. We don't want lines of people needing pack and ship services. We want customers who want their shipment packaged with care and are looking for someone who will take the extra time and materials to ensure their gifts get to their recipients in one piece.
